Timeform select the three best bets at Kenilworth on Saturday…
“…she gets the vote to take this step up in grade in her stride.”
Timeform on Zarina
#8 Flame Tree – Kenilworth R5 (13:20)
Flame Tree is yet to get off the mark this year, but she has been running well in defeat, notably finishing runner-up in a couple of listed contests. She is stepped significantly back up in trip here and has to be taken seriously on these terms. Bayberry wasn’t beaten far at this course last month and should be thereabouts once again, while Holy Warrior also merits consideration.
#7 Silver Operator – Kenilworth R6 (13:55)
Silver Operation didn’t need to improve on his encouraging reappearance to open his account for the season at this venue last time, and though this is a tougher assignment, he could be up to the task, and looks the play at the current prices. Rainbow Bridge and Cirillo are both more experience at this level and represent the main threat.
#4 Zarina – Kenilworth R7 (14:30)
Zarina has won three times from her five runs this year, including when producing a career-best performance to land a handicap at the venue last month. That looks a particularly impressive piece of form, and she gets the vote to take this step up in grade in her stride. Princess Calla and Captain’s Ransom both make appeal however, and will not let the selection have things all her own way.
