Go Fuggi – Turffontein 11:55
Go Fuggi ran like many a newcomer on her course debut over five furlongs, when as green as grass and looking around, which made her running on four and a quarter length third all the more merit worthy, and saw her enter many a notebook. Stepped up in trip this morning, the daughter of Rock Of Rochelle is almost a certainty to improve for the experience and if that is the case, Go Fuggi ought to prove very difficult to beat.
The Puma – Turffontein 13:05
The Puma has stand out form in this company and ought to have little trouble in seeing off these rivals if he can repeat his two length third to Alwahsh last time out. The winner has gone on to score in a Vaal handicap while the third has won since so the form looks way above average, and if The Puma remains in the same sort of form, he can score comfortably here for decent trainer Robbie Sage.
Wrecking Ball – Turffontein 15:25
Wrecking Ball has been given a couple of months off after winning her fifth race over this course and distance in July, and can show the benefit of that useful recovery period with another win here. Last time out she beat the useful Effortless Reward a comfortable length in what looked to be a very decent Pinnacle Stakes, and although she has only been put up a pound on the ratings she seems to be improving all the time. Wrecking Ball may yet prove far too good for these under jockey Ryan Munger and looks the one to beat in an interesting race.
