1.20 DFS Silk Series Lady Riders’ Handicap (Pro-Am Lady Riders) (3) 6f2y

Timeform Top Rated:
97 10. KENNY THE CAPTAIN Tim Easterby Rachel Richardson
96 1. HOOFALONG Michael Easterby Miss Joanna Mason
95 8. SIEGE OF BOSTON John Butler Hayley Turner

Analyst’s Verdict:
The Easterby’s hold a strong hand here with Hoofalong and Kenny The Captain. The latter is bound to be popular under a penalty following a smooth success at Thirsk on Saturday, but the former is established in high-end handicaps, and following an eye-catching run at York, is preferred down in class. Siege of Boston and Buccaneers Vault are interesting, too.

1.50 EBF British Stallion Studs ‘Carrie Red’ Fillies’ Nursery Handicap (2) 6f111y

Timeform Top Rated:
98 6. SHE’S DIFFERENT Nigel Tinkler Andrew Mullen
97p 5. CLUBBABLE Richard Fahey Paul Hanagan
96 4. POETIC STEPS Mark Johnston P. J. McDonald

Analyst’s Verdict:
The vote goes to Clubbable, who put in another good shift when runner-up on nursery debut at Hamilton and she remains open to improvement. The Mums faces no easy task conceding weight all round, but she also possesses potential and is next on the list ahead of She’s Different. Poetic Steps and Ellthea both have a bit to prove, while Silver Starlight lacks the scope of some of these rivals.

2.25 William Hill May Hill Stakes (Group 2) (1) 1m

Timeform Top Rated:
124 5. NYALETI Mark Johnston James Doyle
116p 3. LAURENS K. R. Burke P. J. McDonald
115 8. TAJAANUS Richard Hannon Jim Crowley

Analyst’s Verdict:
Laurens hails from a yard that had the 1-2 in the Prix Morny and she looks a smart prospect herself having finished second in a Group 3 at Deauville. This extra 1f will suit and she can get the better of Nyaleti and Billesdon Brook.

3.00 DFS Park Hill Stakes (Group 2) (1) 1¾m115y

Timeform Top Rated:
122 5. NATURAL SCENERY Saeed bin Suroor Jim Crowley
119 2. DUBKA Sir Michael Stoute Ryan Moore
118 6. SWEET SELECTION Hughie Morrison Adam Kirby

Analyst’s Verdict:
This is very open. There’s little to separate Melodic Motion, Dubka and Natural Scenery on their Glorious Goodwood Lillie Langtry form but the first-named should have scope for further progress given her lightly-raced profile and can provide Qatar Racing and Ralph Beckett with a second successive winner in this race. Aljezeera and Detailed are others likely to be in the mix.

3.35 Weatherbys Racing Bank £300,000 2-Y-O Stakes (2) 6f111y

Timeform Top Rated:
121 22. NEOLA Mick Channon B. A. Curtis
120 15. TANGLED Richard Hannon Sean Levey
119 11. GREAT PROSPECTOR Richard Fahey Paul Hanagan

Analyst’s Verdict:
The form of the York sales race last month will come to the fore and Tangled is fancied to confirm placings with Great Prospector and land another big pot for Richard Hannon. A low weight has served some recent winners well and Neola has to come firmly into the reckoning off just 8-4 having landed a Goodwood nursery in style last week.

4.05 crownhotel-bawtry.com Handicap (2) 1¼m43y

Timeform Top Rated:
117 4. AL NEKSH William Haggas Frankie Dettori
116 1. DARK RED Ed Dunlop Ryan Moore
115 2. EUGINIO Richard Hannon Andrea Atzeni

Analyst’s Verdict:
Dark Red is in the form of his life, and is selected to put his consistency to good use and land the spoils. Al Neksh wasted no time in returning to form at York last month and may be capable of better still, while Euginio is an improved performer this year and merits plenty of respect in a small but competitive field.

4.35 Breeders’ Series EBF Fillies’ Handicap (2) 1m3f197y

Timeform Top Rated:
110 3. RENFREW STREET Mark Johnston P. J. McDonald
107p 6. WHAT A HOME William Haggas Paul Hanagan
104 2. STONEY BROKE James Fanshawe Daniel Muscutt

Analyst’s Verdict:
There should be more to come from handicap debutante What A Home, who was strong at the finish when opening her account in Chester maiden last time and conditions will hold no terrors for this filly. Nathalie boasts a similar profile to the selection and has to be feared but, like stablemate Stoney Broke, she’s unproven on ground this slow and Renfrew Street may emerge as the main danger.
